I feel like things are kinda just….happening? Like I’m having a hard time connecting everything in a seamless, cohesive story if that makes sense, and I wonder if that’s just because of the way it’s structured. Like as soon as you’re invested in the moment, it sucks you back out again

If I had a nickel for every time the major plot twist was that the main characters sister was actually dead the whole time, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

Okay wait. The beginning says “The following text has been faithfully transcribed from Navarrian….” Meaning this is likely Violets journal entries??? Or something of the like. But none of this reads like a journal entry at all. She struggles to remember Tynan’s name until it gets spoken in dialogue, but if this were a journal entry, she would already know it???????????

The writing can be a little confusing at times but I feel like that’s kinda the point? Like it’s sorta dreamlike in a sense that things can just randomly happen at any given moment

Wait a minute if we think about it they lowkey the Yuri version of Fitz and the fool: a sad broken and angry person with dark hair and skin who is pathetic, and a blonde mysterious person who’s got magical powers and has some crazy tension with the angry person
