Man this book is so boring at least there’s a little more Loki now…

So far this whole book has been the 3 people fighting with each other, Loki does some mischief, they fight a thing, get a quest item, repeat next chapter. Not a single character has been dived into, least of all Loki. Why am I even reading this 🙄

I’m not sure why I was told to read the trials of Loki first as this one came out earlier and has entirely different cannon to it (which I expected) Mjolnir exists when Thor is a teen and was not created by adult Loki, Lady Sif has always had black hair, and Baulder is not Thor and Lokis brother (which is really good cause that one was really freaking weird) other than that the dialogue is pretty bad so far.

I feel gross 🙂

Are we not gonna talk about how the 16 year old slept with an immortal Fae woman who is millennia old several times and the book treats it like a badge of honor cause he’s a guy?

There was a story about this guy trying to find the moon that was really beautiful and then at the end gave me the ick. Very Persephone and Hades.

Honestly if this is how Kvothe gets “thrown out” of the university. I’m kinda disappointed. He was not thrown out it was recommended to him that he take a term off. That’s way less interesting. But also I hope this isn’t the last we see of the university. We’ve spent so much time there that I am HEAVILY invested in every single character there, especially Elodin.

Kvothe’s making some stupid decisions but things are happening as far as the mystery. I can’t wait to learn more about Denna and the Chandrilin

This author is so good at writing hatable characters. Ambrose went through all the trouble of buying an inn and replacing the guy who manages it then going around to every other inn in the massive city they live in and either threaten or pay them off all just so Kvothe would get kicked out and not have a place to live. This isn’t even the worst thing he has done. I want to kill this man so bad.

My man Kvothe really went through ALL that trouble to earn his pipes so he could make money just to TRY AND GIVE IT AWAY?!
