i have been reading this entirely too long bc it is just not gripping my shit at all. at this point i’m forcing myself to finish but every time i read it, it feels like a chore. not sure if the experiences being described are too niche or if they’re describing experiences at all or if i don’t like the narrator. it’s more like the narrator is making observations and complaining about themself for getting old

some of this stuff a little predictable but we ball i’m inhaling it

wait... this is such an interesting concept and the narrator's way of conveying information is so gripping to me. I love when the narrative is given like a friend giving the tea. and I love how the narrator starts out as a kinda woe is me ass bitch that I almost felt sorry for and now she's just turning into a full blown cunt. this story could go in any direction at this point

slowly rereading this to create a lesson plan! yes I will teach this book to my students and enjoy it even if it says goddamn and motherfucker. am I going to tell my coworkers? fuckkkk noooo! so mindya! but we gonna see how that goes but truly we can spend a week reading this short ass book and I think my students will like it a lot more than our other dystopian options. anyway. teach books you love if you can amen

I can't wait to finish this so I can say all that I can on it. The writing style has me reading and reading but wow this story is like... the definition of mid and predictable and the description of them texting each other across the room when the "pariah" (I want to throw up at this description for some reason it is so corny) made me ROLL MY EYES SO HARD.

this sure is informative for some book that is really just lil conversations. i like that it gives some amazing information about jealousy and relationships without sex or intimacy or definition. its making me realize how real my relationships are with people that I wouldn't even define necessarily as a "traditional" relationship. it answers so many questions I had when I was new to polyamory and it is reassuring
