I wrote a BOOK about my thoughts on this quote, but it was too many characters for just an update, so y’all will just have to wait for the final book review to hear my TED Talk

Whoa, I like that it mentioned how thinking someone is talented leads us to pay more attention to them, so that our expectation for them becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy…I can already tell this is gonna be one of my favorite business/psychology books, and I can’t believe I waited this long to read it!

Okay so far, I’m not loving Blair. Why is she trying to argue that her daddy issues are worse than Declan’s?! He was trying to express his hurt, and she was just like “mines worse”…like why does Declan put up with Blair? She seems insufferable, but maybe she gets better…

Since mystery is the theme of my 2026 year of books, I’ve decided to read another ~local mystery~
Hoping it’s just as intriguing as At Loggerheads was!!

Ok so far, I’m not loving the book. The main character is an alcoholic, and it’s scary reading about how little she remembers when she blacks out, but I guess it’s a good sobering reminder of the dangers of alcohol and addiction. She also is a horrendous, terrible roommate. Anyways, we’ll see if I keep reading or if I DNF

Pretty interesting so far…I’ve begrudgingly accepted that AI is here to stay, so I’m reading a book about how to coexist and work with it

Epic makes me feel “overwhelming inadequacy” like Caroline Sacks did…being compared to all these other brilliant people is shattering my confidence and making me feel stupid. This is relative deprivation. I feel heard and seen by this book, and I am highlighting basically everything in this chapter.

I really like Malcolm Gladwells books I guess lol

The irony that I’m reading a book about burnout that I bought with my development fund from my company that’s causing me this stress and burnout is not lost on me…
