Just read a 900 page high fantasy book like it’s nothing and i can barely read one page of this without wanting to simply throw it across the room and never see it again.

I am reading the reviews on this book. I must be missing something or not reading with a deep understanding and pretentious thinking. The characters aren’t very memorable to me and it’s making things more confusing. I am living with the thought that I am skipping over symbolizing and historical events that enhance the experience of the book. Maybe Camus is a bit too academic for me at the moment. I will push.

I fucking despise this book. I force myself to read a few pages.

I am always lost when reading this. I get there’s a plague and the narrator is keeping quiet on the alarming death rate and refusing entry of ships and supplies but what’s the plot. Is this more me learning more about what happens after a plague and during. It confuses me so much but I don’t want to give up. it’s 200 pages.

Listen, it was good. I’m not feeling the hype. Nico had no heart and Josie and him just constantly lied over and over to eachother after saying they wouldn’t anymore. The whole danny plotline was confusing and what happened to damn Ellie. Anyways it’s fun but it was meant to get me out of a slump.
