So far I must say i absolutely adore the world building, it took me a little to get into it but once i understood the magic system many things just really click. This book is definitely dark but in a way that is digestible for the reader.

I started reading SenLiYu’s stories back when she was writing fanfiction on Ao3. I have always loved her writing style so when I heard she came out with her own book I just had to read it.
I only hope I can keep it together and not try to draw the parallels between this book and the fic it originally was.

I just saw the new switch game is coming out and figured I have to reread. This was my childhood, I absolutely loved the series. I’m excited to see if it lives up to my memories now that I am an adult.

I’m sorry I just. I had to dnf. I can’t. Both of the characters behave like sappy little girls and that whole mushy soft boy stuff just isn’t for me.

I don’t know how long I can keep going

I wanted to read this book for so long after watching the Studio Ghibli movie.

The book is definitely different from the movie, but so far absolutely worth the read.

It’s really cute so far. I’m not the biggest fan of books playing in the real world, I’m more of a high fantasy girly but I like it so far.
I do like Tiger, he’s so sassy but also sweet.

It’s going well staggering. I’m not reading as much as I want to. But it also takes me a long time taking all my notes with this one.

Okay I now have so many characters in the notebook, the series has a reputation for killing them of though so I wonder which of them will still be standing at the end. 3 died so far.

I really like the world building so far. I think it speaks for the series reputation that already 3 characters died. I wasn’t particularly attached to them so it’s not a big deal but it makes me fear for the ones that are becoming my favorites right now.

Okay let’s do this.

Okay so I started this book on the basis that the idea of a dark little mermaid retelling could be kind of cool.

Day 1
So far I enjoyed Liras chapters big I can’t say I’m a big fan of Elian, but maybe I’ll grow to like him while reading.
