It just doesn’t feel high stakes enough for me… Im enjoying myself but … WHERE IS THE DEPTH

One thing that is quirking me about this book… it’s kind of underwhelming, unfinished, very raw - there’s some good premise but it seems like it’s just focused on relationships with everyone, the plot… there’s not a lot. We’re training but it feels lackluster, the relationship between Fia and Laryk is loose. They’ve not had ONE real conversation. Idk where this yearning from Fia has come from

Why are we getting details of her changing and then changing again?? What does this add to the story for me 🤣🤣🤣
