The slightly morbid and sarcastic humor works well for me. It reads a bit like a humerus journey of discovery with some interesting timeline changes that add depth

“I wish I had feet, I’d have some nice snake skin boots” had me cackling in the audiobook.

Bit heavier than the other books, a bit more complicated, mildly less humorous, overall still so good.

So far, cute and cliche. I suspect I know the ending already, well, probably from the prologue, but I could be wrong. It’s a book about meet cutes and convincing someone romcoms can happen in real life, of course it’s similar to a cheesy romcom.

The way the author takes small time jumps from current time in marriage, to Lucrezia’s birth to the wedding, has done wonderfully in impacting how I see the characters. If I’d seen Alfonso as Lucrezia had in life, I’d have been taken in, but seeing him at the end before the beginning has changed how I interpret his words.
