Making progress with this one. I'm noticing a trend with Chloe Walsh's books that the first half is going to be complete nothingburger until some event finally kicks off the plot, and if there's a second book, the momentum will usually keep til the end. Still not the biggest fan of this one though, I'm not sure what can top Johnny and Shannon's story.

Nothing like bawling over a poem that captures how you've felt the last 10 years of your life on a random Thursday, hours after you should have been asleep.

Making some progress with this one. I'd be a liar if I said I didnt enjoy it, but there's still a part of me that goes, "this is straight man poetry, this is guy who knows what an americano is poetry." And thats not to say Neil doesnt have some bangers, I just don't feel as connected as I wish I did to the work. Curious to see what my final thoughts will be and what his other collections will be like.

Side note, going into pride month was a good time to start this book.

Next audio read. Liking this one more than Circe so far, even though the narrative feels the same. I think its cause more has happened to the protagonist so far, and we aren't looking outward as often as the first book started.

Second reading session - "you believe you're reacting to a problem when you are really reacting to your own anxiety" hit me, Im not going to lie. While I'm not sold on the idea that this book is life-changing or necessarily unique advice, that part got to me. That came at the right time for me.

Finally picked up as this book is referenced heavily in ny workplace. Hoping it will provide some insight into how to better navigate workplace relationships and office drama.
