This might be a record in a DNFing for this year

This is going to be a DNF

This seems to be another case of what is this and who is it for? Because I am stumped

Not sure what to think so far. Seems wild that I'm nearly a quarter of the way in and the only thing that has happened was literally the beginning of the book.

Also, Picasso, and pretty much all the surrealist men, as much as they were genuises whose work I adore, were elitist, misogynistic, abusive c-words

I just want this to be over. There's some great writing, but its swamped by overwraught and overwritten prose and maudlin, depressing find that is just bumming me out, rather than making me feel things

Nearly halfway through and loving it. It's a little nicey nicey, but we're allowed that as treat

Stayed up until 0400 reading this, had 1-2 hours sleep, woke up around 0600 and desperately tried to get this finished before the 1030 book group, including Belle from Beauty and the Beasting it on the way and getting to the venue ludicrous early to entrnech and read.
