i only want to do three things
1. go to my job that i love
2. play village and people manager/sim games
3. read this book.

happy to say this is amazing so far

this is embarrassing but to read this one i copied and pasted the story the night before into my notes app (from reddit 😪) and my samsung has this thing that can convert notes into an audio file and so now its a janky diy audio book in like 20 30-minute parts that i can listen to at work 👍

why doesnt anyone understand that me writing 5364 words for a 2500 word limit essay shows my enthusiasm and passion for writing and academia instead of my inability to limit, paraphrase, and stay focussed on the topic at hand !!!

i cringe when i read it, I cant read more than 5 pages per the hour, and I have no idea what is happening.

local celebrity Seraphina is in my class and i really wanna talk to her but this class always has a half an hour of writing a prompt that usually comes from this book- during the writing period she leaves and sits on the tables outside and doesnt come back. i know this bc ive gone out twice to get a coffee since i do my prompts before class and shes always there but im always so shy to say hi cause like what do i say

we're getting a semblance of a plot, ladies. on paper, this book is identical to martyr, but while martyr was nuanced and brought forth an original and authentic idea, this book has the same story (? if it even has one) of many immigrants, and its worth ALOT but its not doing anything with it. the most ive gotten so far is nostalgia which,,, ya? ok what about it!! SAY SOMETHING! ANYTHING !!!

i think by this point most books have some sort of,,,, purpose? im all for a protagonist study (which this might be) but im learning nothing except for her indifference towards china and that her parents fought hmmm i will update 🤨🤨🤨

im reading this for my engl class!!! im very glad i am too,,, cause i dont think i would have liked inventories if i didnt get the input from my classmates, we live, we learn !!

as an experiment im trying really hard not to search anything up until after im done reading. its adding a furstrated feeling of not knowing what was real and what was embellished which you can draw a lot of present parallels from. im really looking forward to keep reading
