It's ridiculous how I keep avoiding finishing this book. It will be finished today.

Have you ever read a book that made you want to DNF because you felt as if it was talking about your life or current situation?

Ugh!

But... I must continue to see how God brings this FMC through. I guess this book from Goodwill was meant for me to read.

I love a book with mixed media. Every other chapter is a podcast transcript of the FMC interviewing people.

Don't make any assumptions, but just like this killer, I have a thing about numbers, too. Smh.

10 and 21 are my favorite numbers (because of my birthday), but every time I look at the clock, it's 10:21.

This killers memo was to kidnap his victims 3 days apart, keep them for 7 days, and whip them 21 times.

My first thought after reading that last part: 3+7=10... Whipped 21x's.... that's 10/21 yall

Making it a habit to read some encouraging non-fiction on a monthly basis.

The FMC (Marjorie) may be a bit older than me, but in so many ways we're alike due to certain life circumstances. I love a book that makes you feel as if the author is talking about you through a fictional character. It just hits differently, and you both tend to learn lessons along the way.

I love a good Christian fiction involving people of color. I came across this book in a Goodwill. Funny enough, this author resides in my state (NC). I'm trying to find more local authors to read.

Every now and then, I think it's good to read a book that grounds you. A book that you could relate to. It just hits differently.

I love a good poetry book in between long books.
