Easy read so far. Pretty interesting, seems like a good adventure. Sadly not fantasy

The book is a drag. Too much action but annoying action. The only reason characters still alive is because they are main characters. Too sci-fi for me

The fact that Kanthe likes Cassta is just weird because in the first book he never even glanced at women, and then he was only interested in Nyx, and now it’s like he doesn’t even remember Nyx exists. Just came out of nowhere. Also I agree with one of the reviews that the female character writing is terrible. They are all the same - oversexualized and “badass” and flirty which is annoying

The book is starting to drag. So many characters and too many words. The plot isn’t strong enough to keep me engaged. I’ve resorted to skimming

Towards the end of the first book it was starting to drag and get boring, but this new adventure is starting off strong. I hope kanthe doesn’t have to marry someone else, I think he and Nyx should be together, but we’ll see what happens

I did not see the twist of Mikean coming! Like I probably should I suspected he was evil, but I didn’t think he would try to assasinate his brother! So sad! I don’t like him or the shriven guys

I like Rhaif’s perspective the best I think. Because it’s giving Star Wars/Andor. But Lyra catching up to them is kind of annoying and the fact that Shiya just left them is like arghhhh. Something go right for just once!

I really like this book so far! It has the same vibes as Andor which I have been searching for! The animas give off similar vibes, the criminals and characters escaping, living their own lives, just trying to make it through. It’s intriguing.

It didn’t start getting interesting until chapter 13. There’s something fishy with Sam

I figured it out like halfway through the book. It started out well. But it started to drag when there weren’t that many clues. The author was too obvious it red herrings by providing shade to certain characters that it helped me to figure that it wasn’t them even when the “evidence” would say otherwise. Definitely not like a hercule poirot book. But cool to recognize places mentioned in the book in real life

So far, so good. I didn’t realize the book is part of a series, but they aren’t connected- it just has the same main character. The author fills in some background, so reading the other books is not necessary. The chapters are short which is good
