So cool to read about the lives of people in London in the late 1800s but also so sad! The quality of living was so poor. Learning about the victims of Jack the Ripper is so interesting; their truth and life is not known. Very sad to hear about how quickly things spiral

A little confusing start with storyline and world building, but I think I understand now. Stereotypical characters, but still intriguing

This book is so good so far! Intriguing, easy to read, the pacing and writing is smooth! I liked the main character at the beginning because she seemed real and natural - a little timid and not like those main characters where everything comes naturally to them and everyone is interested in them, but she is now starting to be a little not-like-other-girls-esque

I just could not get into it. I don’t know why. But I was constantly scanning pages to keep moving along

I don’t know why, but I just can’t get into this book. Too much world building or descriptions I guess. I’m constantly jumping to the dialogue because that’s the interesting stuff. Eh

So far it’s a little hard to get into. It gives a little Adventures of Tintin vibes
