Kyle and Erik have a heart heart but Erik pushes him away due to the age gap. Two months later after Eric’s last game he comes back to Kyle and tells him he was wrong and takes him back. They talk about purchasing the King Fischer and they take a vacation to Greece.

They fool around a few times. Kyle confesses his role in his first affair that outed him, and that he seems unimpressive for being a rich kid . Scott confesses he’s retiring at the end of the season.

After Lyle slept over in Eric’s guest bedroom, they had a date at the Kingfisher, taking things slowly, they only kissed. Eric confesses to Scott that he’s bi, and scott is understanding. It comes out that Hollander and Rosanov are together in private

Eric further considers coming out to Scott, as Benny plans a Thanksgiving.

Eric goes to visit his friend Jeannette at her art gallery and buys an incredible painting.

Eric also asks Kyle out, who shuts him down because Eric is still married.

Eric goes to a gay bar after a game with Scott Hunter, and ends up in a deep conversation with Kyle. Ilya Rosanov shows up as well. Eric further questions how he kept half his sexuality latent for so long.

Eric Bennett is a senior member of NHL hockey and going to Kip and Eric’s engagement party. Eric just got divorced from a woman named Holly, and he’s finally coming to terms with his attraction to me . Kyle is a grad school student studying ancient art who works at the Kingfisher that night and they meet, talking up how happy they are for the couple.

As she get objectified even more by the Komizar, Aster tries to help her escape, but the Komizar kills Aster. Lia murders him in retaliation, and the Rahtan guards help her and Rafe escape. She almost drowns in the river, but survives, and she and Rafe end up on the other side, with her finally telling Rafe she loves him

Lia agreed to marry the Komizar, shocking everyone.

Lia has been captured, so has Rafe, by the Vendans who usually don’t take prisoners. They’re humiliating her by taking the weapons from her dead brother and his fellow soldiers. Kaden is amongst them. They have to play the game correctly.

Walther is there, a crazed man: Greta and the baby were killed.

At the feast, Rafe goes from hot to cold, and Lia attempts to flirt in the Kaden to get his attention, but it doesn’t work. She storms out of dinner, and Rafe chases her to her cabin. She accuses Rafe of being repulsed by her, and he accuses her of having lovers, (ex:Walther.) she tells him Walther’s her brother. He kisses her in the woods and the chapter has an amazing final line (Will quote!) 😳

Pauline is pregnant, and she reveals that after removing the mourning veil. Rafe is inconsistent with Lia, and while he disposes of the body for her, he’s cold off and on. He knows who she is, although he hasn’t revealed that to her yet.

Mikhail, the rake, gets killed, and Pauline goes into mourning. One day while shopping, Lia gets attacked by an assassin for the scholar, but Raffe and Kaden kill him. She’s shaken, but afraid to reveal why he attacked her.

That night, Lia’s brother Walther tracks her down in the temple, and she reveals she stole some documents in a foreign language from the royal scholar. Walther is going to be a father, too.

Princess Lia runs away with her bestie Pauline from her wedding to a prince she’s never met before. The prince might be old and creepy, they end serving in a tavern. An assassin and a Prince are tracking her down to Devil’s Canyon, where she’s picking berries for hire.

Nesta cannot be withdrawn from the blood rite, lest she face death, along with Cassian for pulling her out. She’s basically going through battle with EMORIE and GWYN. The next challenge in the Rite is the Breaking. All three girls confess to each other the worst things they’ve been through and done. I cried that they had this moment of vulnerability.
