Ok so Jameson and Avery have now entered some lair underground the Opera , each door representing the seven deadly sins. Neat. I do find Grayson’s story a lot more interesting , as there’s a lot more conflict. I like how Grayson wanted to Jump Duncan after he tried to get Savannah to have sex with him. And I also like the reveal of who the mysterious person is working for , Eve

Ok so now Avery and Jameson have managed to secure a way to get to the exclusive club The Devils Mercy that His father wanted them to get into.. for a measly 500K. Sheesh. And it seems they’re more interested in Avery than him. It was nice to see Grayson try to have some sort of interaction with his family , especially Gigi and Savannahs mom who was really sweet to him despite knowing who he was

And finally back to the inheritance games! Glad to be back. So Nash has proposed to Libby , poor Grayson being the only one without a lover. Also Gray is in Phoenix because he doesn’t want his sister learning the truth about his father and his history.. ohh. Also Jameson met his father?? Ok buddy. And he’s going to go do the favour he wants with Avery.. hmm interesting

SO EVE WAS THE TRAITOR. HAH I KNEW IT. It was a bit too obvious that someone that was just introduced in this book would be the traitor. God I hate her so much. I will also say I hate William Blake so much , impregnating a 16 year old and raping her. Good on Tobias for killing him. Also TOBY IS ALIVE.. well he’s bruised but HE’S ALIVE!

Ok so I don’t really understand this whole William Blake situation. It’s like .. he’s the grandfather of Eve and yet he doesn’t really talk about her ??? Ok buddy. Grayson also pissing me off like Avery made and good point and he lashed out at her like geez

Rebecca’s mother is such a weirdo like the second Eve shows up , she’s all caring despite the fact Rebecca is her daughter and has lived for years with her? Also the fact the crystal ball stated trust no one .. hmm.. if Tobias knew about Eve this entire time , maybe it’s his way to tell Avery that she needs to look out for the people around her

Ok so Toby is alive.. kind of? Like we heard him over the phone but he was cut of pretty quickly. And it turns out this Luke guy kidnapped him , and posted online about the Whole Emily , Jameson and Grayson fiasco to the public. Geez.
And the fact that this guy clearly knows how to push everyone’s buttons to the max

Ok so Toby is alive.. kind of… He’s been beaten up pretty badly as shown in the photos. Geez poor Eve , her whole family is a mess. And now poor Rebecca had to see her sister aswell. Also Avery I’m gonna need you to chill out with Grayson because it’s very evident you and Jameson are a good couple just be loyal. And fuck Skye too

Finally getting back to reading ( been tired whilst on vacation ). We actually see Eve in the flesh ( Toby’s secret daughter ) and it seems someone attacked her and took Tobi. I do feel suspicious of her however , given she has just arrived. Also we’re seeing more of Nash which I like , since we didn’t see much of him in the previous installment

Ok so first of all , Toby is actually a child of a Laughlin?? Sheesh. Second , can’t get over the fact that Grayson kissed Avery , even if it was to shut her up and expose that Toby may be still alive. Also , the fact Avery’s Mother was most likely Toby’s lover and hated him after the fire because her sister got blamed for it is quite nuts

Ok so not only do we learn that Nash’s father was most likely the guy whom Zara and Skye had fought over , But also that fact that her ring led to a set of co-ordinated to one of the Hawthorne homes in Costa Rica. But now Toby himself is sending messages telling Avery to back off and stop looking for him??? Either he really doesn’t want to see Avery or he’s keeping her away from certain danger

Apparently Toby may have set the fire that “killed” him and his two best friends twenty years ago , and if you factor in how he was supposedly in a psych ward.. sheesh. Also the fact that Graysons father actually knows a lot more than I thought he knew about the birth of his son is quite interesting. I also like how Max returned and is playing a role now in the mystery

So it turns out Toby is related to Avery , most likely being her father. Sheesh. No wonder her mother said she had a secret. Also the fact we learn that Grayson’s father was unaware of his son’s birth because of a one night stand is quite awful. Also Jameson’s mother and Avery’s fake dad are apparently sleeping together. How fun I guess

Dang so Toby was adopted and most likely is related to Avery’s family? Sheesh what’s start. The fact he started writing on walls signals to me he had a hard time trusting his family. Also Libby needs to stop doing stuff to try get Avery and her deadbeat Father Ricky together. It’s evident that he only came back for the money Avery Inherited.

Damn so apparently Libbys ex boyfriend Drake shot Avery.. sheesh.. and now they’re trying to say Libby was responsible.. hmm.. Also Thea is lowkey crazy for trying to put Avery in the same outfit that Emily wore. No wonder Grayson looked horrified to see her at the gala. I wonder where Jameson has gone off to.. we haven’t seen him in a while

AVERY GOT SHOT AT OK. Damn someone’s out to get her. ALSO , HER AND JAMESON KISSED , which was nice to see given there obvious tension in previous chapters. Also , Emily was dating Jameson and Grayson at the same time before she died?? And apparently according to her sister she had no choice in the matter?? Hmmm… interesting.

Ok so we finally know who Emily was. She was the sister to Rebecca Laughlin , whose parents work in the Hawthorne household , and whom Jameson had to watch die. Very interesting given she seems to have had something with Grayson as well. I do also like how Avery was able to use the press to make sure there was no attention on her sister’s shitty abusive boyfriend. Good on her!

Ok so.. it seems a girl called Emily died in the estate and she seems to have a key connection to the Hawthorne’s , since when Avery mentioned her name Jameson and Grayson both had reactions to it.. also it seems Tobias Hawthorne had a son called Toby who died in a fire.. but who’s body was never found. Spooky ( maybe he’s still alive ?). I am also interested with the idea of leaving messages in a red ink will

Ok so , Avery now has paparazzi on her trail, thanks to her sister Libby’s shitty ex boyfriend. Nice. Her and Jameson seem to be getting a bit flirty , although it’s more from Jameson side if anything , as she clearly doesn’t want to give into her intrusive thoughts. And now she’s going to school! A fancy school no less! I hope her academics help her out , it might be tough 🙁

Avery is very justifiable in her reactions because imagine your living an average life and suddenly you learn that some old billionaire you’ve never heard of has given you his entire inheritance , despite the fact his family basically revive nothing 😭 She has every right to be confused and concerned at her situation
