Took a little bit to get back into this but I’m having a good time

very well written, very hard to read

the more I read the less I like the adaptation

custom-designed to wreck me

I picked this up with the intention to read only 10 pages and then I couldn’t put it down.

First re-read since it blew my socks off ten years ago. After watching the new adaptation, I wanted to see whether it was faithful to the source material. Yee haw.

now that it’s painfully obvious what’s going on, I’ve lost quite a lot of motivation for this

this is stupid, but nevertheless I am enjoying it

overall this is entertaining, but the idea that Celeste would refer to a mental health unit as a “loony bin” is pretty disappointing and unrealistic to me.

nothing’s really happening but I’m still kind of digging it?

My expectations are low but so far I’m enjoying this a lot

I’ve wanted to like Emma Cline for years and now finally I do!

🤯

like Queen said, I’m 🎶 havin’ a good time 🎵

why do people need horror novels when stories like this exist

this is disturbingly good

Like a cousin of Elif Batuman and Ottessa Moshfegh, complimentary.

back to enjoying this!

so far I like this significantly less than the first book

surprisingly enjoying this quite a bit
