This is a really interesting concept and something that has really been fitting my recent vibe with women-focused historical fiction reads.

This is super good.

I've never read or interacted with anything about the Thunderbolts, so this set up of it being similar to DC's Suicide Squad is super interesting.

This is genuinely interesting, but the audiobook is genuinely carrying it more than just reading it. Like it's by no means a bad read, but it's easier to follow in audio format.

Okay thoughts so far are: not her best but definitely the bones of her better works. There's something about this that makes it feel a little bit more unrealistic. The beginning had the right about of suspended reality, but as the book has gone on its feeling too fiction-y.

This has honestly gotten better, but also worse. The FMC is literally so annoying like she's so cringe and try-hard loser.

The premise of this book is really fun, but there's something about the FMC that isn't as appealing as Jimenez's other FMCs are

hmmmm that issue connecting all of the previous journeys was great, but I feel like it wouldn't have had to do so much heavy-lifting if the beginning pieces were already more cohesive.

This feels like a different lens of 'Night Road' and I like it. It's something I wasn't really expecting, very in media res when it came to the plot and I like that it's moving quickly.

I like the fact that there's very clear understandings set by the characters in why they're acting like how they are bc all of this is coming out in the exposition.

everything just keeps building within issue and then completely changing with the next. Like now I'm beginning to wonder if I picked up the Complete Collection of Side Stories

These are cute little feel good stories, but I wish there was some overarching plot that these stories connected to. I feel like I'm just watching a bunch of filler episodes when I want the canon pieces that advance the plot.

So far this book is pretty good, but there's something about it that is so heavy. Like it is great that the characters have backstories and depth to their characters, but their histories aer so heavy that there seems to be only very little movement towards the growth that is being hinted at mjy the narrative.

this might be an interesting meta-look at romance books, but I can also see myself getting annoyed with it's approach
