I am reading this with my kids, at suggestion of my 15-year-old. Really exciting so far!

I am reading this with my 13-year-old. We miss Parvana, but this is still a touching story.

I'm reading this with my 13-year-old. I love the story, but she is not really enjoying it.

I'm putting this one on pause until I can read the ebook. I've been doing the audiobook, but it is really driving me bananas. Something about the way the reader ends each and every sentence with this weird inflection was already irritating. But when she reads the Appalachian accents of the kids, I just can't handle it any more. I want to see what happens, but I just need time to get to the ebook.

I’m struggling so badly to get through this book. It’s elegantly written and charming in so many ways, but the actual story is quite boring! And frustratingly it’s really 5 stories that I imagine will come together at some point, but it is an awful lot to keep straight right now, especially when I find myself not picking the book up for long periods of time!
