Have held back tears at work while reading this. The author has a real talent with words and conveying emotions, particularly at feeling lost with her own emotions.

Reading this for school but have owned for a while. Would probably be more insightful to non-POC people or to those not tuned into injustices as seen in the book. The many references to recent-ish events makes it hard to understand if you don’t know about said events
