Had to put tape over the quote on the cover IYKYK. Really making me second guess two books I hugely enjoyed recently, The Old Ways (Robert Macfarlane) and The Philosophy of Walking (Frederich Gros), for a more gendered writing bias on walking than I’d recalled

I will never not struggle to put down Alan Bennett’s diaries down, my sleep schedule is ruined!

I love it when Alan says books he’s reading that I’ve also read

Alan was about to start write about Venice so I had to stop or I’ll never get to sleep

If I hadn’t done 40k steps today, I’d have happily kept reading

Really really hard to stop reading but it’s 12 and I need to sleep!
