breaking my animorphs streak to read a book about a girl who turns into a fox. i think perhaps my next non-animorphs read would be the shark prince, which is about a boy who turns into a shark. it's REALLY important to have palette cleansers between all these animorphs books about kids morphing into animals. really important. :]

the complexities of the dynamic between dak hamee and aldrea are so interesting. i love getting more background on the andalites, the hork-bajir, and the yeerks all at once. however reading this does also feel like reading a shakespearean tragedy and i am stressed and unsettled.
