DNF. couldn’t get into it

This series is soo good and applicable to these crazy times!

Cringing every time the main character fantasizes about killing someone. It feels forced and manipulative like the author is trying to convince me that the main character is responsible for her best friend’s murder right before the *plot twist* that will “shock” me. I’m continuing the book for the spite of it

65 pages in one evening - I’m so enthralled! I read Carmilla from 1872 early this year and really intrigued that this new book is based on her. If you’re into vampires / slow burn thrillers I think you’ll like this one too

Haven’t read a book in awhile where I bounce this much between liking and hating the main character 😅
