I did *not* give up on Lonesome Dove, I just needed a potato chip book that doesn't require so much brain power to read after class

This story is moving at the speed of molasses, but I suppose that's to be expected with a 900+ page book. Nonetheless, I'm somewhat invested and trusting the process.
