Nooo, I actually feel like crying; that was the most perfect and fabulous Christmasy novella to ever be created. I physically cannot say goodbye to this masterpiece of a series, it’s so incredibly special. I know I’ve said it a million times, but these characters seriously hold a huge place in my heart and soul. Julian, Scarlett, Legend, Tella, everyone! I could never fully express how much they mean to me. 💗

YESS the Jovan and Aiko cameos!!! AND my Scarlett and Julian!! <3 Every time they appear on the page, my heart flutters like crazy. "You look quite dashing, my love." "You look devastating, Crimson." STOP IT, I CAN’T COPE!

Legend and Tella are so freaky oh my- 🫣

Ahaha that interaction between Julian and Legend was hilarious!! I DESPERATELY yearn for more scenes with them together; I absolutely love them as brothers. :D

I’ve always loved how magical Stephanie Garber’s writing is. It truly feels like I’ve stepped into a Christmas fairytale. ❄️✨

I’m completely obsessed with the family portrait of them! This picture just captures each of their personalities so perfectly!!

Ahhh I’m so excited!!! I’m finally reading Spectacular!! Originally, I had planned to save it until December BUT I want to connect back into this wonderful world in preparation for the release of TMOIE in a few days! I adore these characters with my entire heart, so I could not be happier to reunite with them. 🥹💖

Well, what a pointless book. 🫤 Ah, I’m so disappointed. The Residency had every chance to be good; if only it wasn’t written this poorly…

Our main character, Ginny, has become increasingly annoying, and her repetitive thoughts are so frustrating. The amount of rhetorical questions that I have to read is getting ridiculous. And every time I see the words "I frown", I feel like throwing this book in the bin omg. There’s not enough diversity in the writing. 🫩

Ugh, I’m almost forcing myself to finish this book now. ☹️ It’s really unfortunate as the mysterious premise and the dark, spooky setting could’ve established a great gothic horror story, but it has just fallen flat.

Other than the residents acting weird and the house doing creepy things, pretty much nothing has happened. There doesn’t seem to be any clear plot, and it’s a shame as this story had a lot of potential. The writing is also getting repetitive which slightly irritates me. :/

I’m loving the gothic setting and eerie atmosphere!!

I’m currently in a thriller phase, therefore when I saw this book in Asda, it immediately drew my attention! It sounds like it has a haunted house vibe, which I’ve always wanted to read, so I’m looking forward to this! 😄

Well, that was one fucking hell of a plot twist.

Right, this is messing with my head. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO TO TRUST!! The first three quarters of this book were extremely slow - I was never particularly bored, yet it was getting difficult to push through. However, now that I’m nearing the end, oh I cannot stop reading! The twists have finally begun and I am DESPERATE for answers omg!!! 😭

It’s been a bit of a trudge to get through, but I believe things are starting to speed up now!

Okay, first impression is that I’m really enjoying this book already! I’m finding it slightly difficult to read, however that may just be because I haven’t read an adult novel in a while. The entire premise has hooked me from the start, and I’m liking the way the story is narrated. I can’t wait to find out about Alicia!

It feels wrong to read another book after finishing Once Upon a Broken Heart (I’m never going to move on from that series) BUT I think The Silent Patient will be good to pick me up! It’s been ages since I’ve read a thriller so I’m super excited to start this!!

How am I meant to move on with my life after that? I will never be the same.

I’M DYING- LaLa and Castor are hilarious together omg!!! 💀 Those 50 pages got me feeling so many different emotions, my head is spinningggg. On one page I was raging at Aurora, then the next I was crying for Jacks, and suddenly I’m laughing at LaLa. I feel as though I’ve been through a washing machine. I really want to finish this tonight, but I need to hold back for I might explode.

WHYYY?!! LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE TIME SOMETHING GOOD HAPPENS BETWEEN THEM, IT GETS RUINED! IT’S SO FRUSTRATING!! 😭😭

Never mind, I take back what I wrote in the previous update. THIS BOOK IS SO FREAKING GOOD WHAT THE HECK!! I NEED IT ATTACHED TO MY SOUL! The amount of love that I have for these characters makes me physically ill - I can’t even believe my heart is still functioning after that!! ❤️‍🩹

I thought I could understand why Apollo did what he did, but ah he keeps getting worse, with no valid reason! It is pure torture to continue reading about him lol. And unfortunately, I’m starting to become a little uninvested in the story. ☹️ It’s just that I’m almost halfway through now, and nothing has really happened? My excitement is beginning to ware off..

All of the lingering forgiveness that I had for Apollo is gone, because this man is becoming VILE!! "She belonged to him", EWW NO LEAVE MY GIRL ALONE!

Why was that chapter literally one of the best scenes from this entire series. I can’t cope, it was so perfect, they’re so perfect. My heart feels like it’s going to explode from how much I love them!! The YEARNING from Jacks and even Eva in those pages, I felt it to my core. Damn.
