I'm listening to the audiobook!

I am learning bits an pieces about the welfare system, but idk that's it's a book I'd recommend to other people. The target audience seems to be people who don't believe that this level of poverty exists in America. But I was mostly looking for like specific details on the history of welfare, what worked, what failed, and what we can do going forward. This is not that.

Got to the parts about Chicago and Austin.

I'm sitting here wondering if any of the fiction books I've started are gonna get finished in the next four years (unlikely). XD

I waited so long to start this one because I thought it was long- it's only like 300 pages.

Spiritually though, I'm sure it's going to take a while to read.

This book is EXCELLENT. 10/10 recommend.

It makes brilliant points that I won't try to summarize here, but for me its walking me through step by step how the extreme conservative agenda has so successfully convinced people that they are protecting them.
