Two chapters left and this is the best book of the course so far. Maybe not quite as "important" as Kill Anything That Moves, but also a much more enjoyable read. The two should honestly be read together for anyone interested in either.

Comprehensive and interesting, but I'm not with Small's thesis 100%, particularly his condemnation of radicalism within the movement. I think he misunderstands the nature of radicalism to some extent, and also frequently seems to subconsciously acknowledge its importance. Will update more later.

Chapter 12 on Indian sexology was one of the best works of history I've ever read and should be considered essential reading for anyone interested in sexual or labor history.
