Literally one chapter in and I’m emotional. I fear this is going to crack me into a million pieces. I can already feel it.

This has been such an easy read. Just flipping pages and enjoying the story(ies). The blend of Zelu, Ankara & Ijele, and the interviews from family has kept the pace moving well. I’ve just gotten a horrible sense of anxiety though, and I’m not sure why. Maybe cause I’m almost done and I have no idea how Okorafor is going to wrap it up. We will see soon.

The first 15% was just reading about a girl becoming a debt collector and I was so enraptured by it I didn’t even notice I had read that much. This continues to get better and better. The prose is stunning. The pacing is perfect. The plot intrigue has me fully invested.

It’s been 2 weeks. We are so back baby.

Off to a gruesome and tragic start of my god. I’m excited for this one. I loved Scarlet Alchemist by this author.

This one took me a minute to get into, and having the audiobook helped a TON. Sometimes a writing style or narrative structure just doesn’t make my brain happy. I have no idea where this is going, but I’m enjoying the speculations so far. It’s very unique, very speculative, and I suspect, will be incredibly philosophical by the end.

This book has moved at a break neck pace since page 1 I am exhausted 😂

It’s insane how much more of a fit for me this book is than the first 3. This reading experience is addicting.
