Why are there text messages written with quotations like dialogue? It’s confusing. This book could use an editor.

What the hell so this flashback to being two years old. A two year old doesn’t have coherent thoughts and memories like this.

I’m cool with women being villainized in MM books but sections like this about totally random female characters who’ve done nothing wrong are disgusting.

“Sorry, but you’re obviously not doing it for me.” I point to my flaccid cock. “You need a bit more practice, then you can try again.” It’s mean and a lie, but I have no capacity to be nice. The blonde begs and pleas, it’s pathetic…”

The authors’s note says this is a slow burn but this man says he wants to marry this guy when they only officially met less than two weeks ago. Like what— 😂

I know this is supposed to be a slow burn, but I’m on page 100 of 287 and they still have never had a conversation.

I saw some reviews about one of this author’s books reading like a Wikipedia page and she speaks a lot about that in this one. I think that’s an acceptable critique. Sometimes it feels like a Wikipedia page because things are being explained that a lot of readers might already have an understanding of. So it’s not an insult to say pieces of it read like a Wikipedia page, that’s just how some people feel.

Just started reading this. Love this author, but I’m conflicted on the disclaimers. I typically agree with all of them, and it’s within their right to add whatever they want, but readers are also allowed to criticize things and enjoy a book, but still find pieces of it. They don’t like. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t read it if they want to.

1. Travis is icky.
2. There’s no good reason that Casey shouldn’t be able to see his father and keep in touch with the safe house team.
3. Why are they keeping the victims in the same house where they can run into their leaders (who r*ped some of them)?!

Ugh. Two tropes I hate.

A MC making a generalization about a large group of people. (E.g. I don’t hang out with jocks because they’re all bad/players/etc.)

You can’t date my friend.

Like, it’s not your choice. Let your friends make their own decisions and stop controlling their love lives. Caleb can eff off with that over protectiveness.

Is that a mole on the cover model’s armpit? Bc it looks like an extra nipple. Just sayin.

In the first half of this book, I have already found 9 typos. Nine! For a book this short, that feels a little absurd.

Oh my gosh he’s being so dumb. Be literally told you not to go down on him while he’s driving because it’s dangerous but you kept pushing and then you literally unbuckle your seatbelt? Like, do you have any idea how dangerous that is? Pull. The eff. Over.

Ugh. I love Morgan’s books but Eli is just so immature. Half the stuff he says makes me believe he’s 15.

Oop and they’re having sex right away. Definitely not a slow burn. 🫢

I’m gonna be honest… if you’re kissing at 43%, it’s not a “slow burn”.

I just read this entire romance book for their to be no love confessions. They didn’t even think about how they lived the other person. Not even an “I’m falling for you.” Are you serious? Took a 4+ star book down to 2 so quickly. I’m so disappointed.

The mother in this story is one of the worst people I’ve read about. She is despicable.

Holy typos and grammatical errors! In the acknowledgments at the beginning, the author says she has an editor who helps her with her over use of commas, but I don’t think that’s the case. I’m sure she had an editor. But there are definitely commas that are in random places they shouldn’t be… And yet there are also places that don’t have commas that need them. I wanna pull my hair out!

Not only can this author not write sex scenes period, she ESPECIALLY can’t write gay sex scenes.

Amadeus is THE WORST!

Already one of the worst books I’ve read.

I just know this housekeeper is poisoning him. And she was hired by Archie. I’ve been suspicious of his annoying ass self since book 1.

I think I’m gonna like this book but I am, in fact, judging the cover. Hard core.

I can’t. There is no way you would put your mouth on anyone’s nether regions after they worked an hours long shift at a bar. You know how gross you feel/smell at the end of a shift like that?

Buddy, the lip color on this cover is not your shade.

Can we agree that the phrase “lick into his/her mouth” in a romance book is weird? It sounds gross to me.
