My prediction about the future of a villain in the previous book was completely wrong in this book! Talk about possibly doing a 180. In life people do deserve second chances, but if they continue to do bad then off to guillotines

Ready to read the final book in the Wildwood series! Excited for next year as Laika Studios will be releasing book 1, Wildwood, in theatres. It will be in their usual stop-motion animation. ♥️

Interesting book how the main characters in book 1 aren’t necessarily main characters in book 2. They share the spotlight with two other characters that were briefly mentioned in book 1. Most books stick with the main character throughout the series.

Even though I’m unwell I still find some time to read. Two more chapters left of my current book.

If you’re from Oregon or if you visited Portland you should read this. This is centered in Portland. Street names, bridges, and buildings exist in real life! Makes me love the state.

So far so good. An adult has kids illegally working dangerous jobs. Most disliked character in this book currently.

If you want to read a book with talking animals and magic then read this! It’s like Narnia in some ways.

Always interesting to read a book where the kids are the smart ones while the adults don’t have much intelligence

All birds being arrested from their homes reminds me of Nazi Germany in this fantasy book that has humans and animals living amongst each other.

The villain in this is just like the White Witch in Narnia!

Read this once three years ago. Rereading it since I really liked it. It reminds me of Narnia/Coraline about walking past an area that instantly transports you into another dimension! Very good fantasy read for all ages.

Most Idahoan women had a legitimate reason forge checks. They simply couldn’t afford food for themselves or their children especially at a time when women did not work.

It’s fascinating learning about the reasons why women in Idaho in the 19th & 20th centuries got in trouble with the law and found themselves in the Idaho State Penitentiary. Some were valid reasons, but others were out of self-defense. The good thing is most of these women were freed earlier than their sentence out of sympathy from all-male juries or the Idaho Governors. Men prisoners wouldn’t get sympathy.

“Women are seven times more likely than men to murder with poison. Men prefer knives and guns.” Now I’m going to examine my drinks if a female gives me something to drink 😆

Bought this on my vacation to Idaho where I went inside a historic prison in Boise called Old Idaho Penitentiary. This book focuses on the women prisoners.

I love stories where an evil character got a second chance to redeem themself and became good ❤️

This has the most romance of all the Grishaverse books. Although I’m not a romance reader, it is not bad. Two major characters that never showed their love for each other finally did it!

You can’t have a fantasy book without a dragon. Right? 🐉
