I’m like halfway through and just begging for it to be over. I don’t have the heart to DNF books but this one has been a slog. My favorite parts of the first one are largely absent from this one so far and it’s mostly a romance story atp. Switching to audiobook so I can listen while I build castles in Minecraft and get it over with lmaooo

I like this so far, it’s fun and a little Doctor Who coded which I like but I think I would get more of the imagery and references if I had been raised Christian or Catholic or something because so far it feels like there’s a lot of Christian-ish imagery, but I can’t be sure

ok things have finally picked up but this was a sloooooooow burn

I really want to like this but the constant swapping between multiple pov’s and short chapters make it had to care for anyone very deeply yet, except Marcellus, I loved him immediately 🐙 at this point I wish the whole book was from his perspective because he’s my fave and I like how he’s written

struggled in the first few chapters cause there is a lot of fantastical imagery my non-visual mind’s eye was struggling to comprehend but I’m locked in now fr around the chapter 7 mark, things are picking up
