I usually enjoy this genre of book online and I’m trying to enjoy this one but…. I absolutely hate when authors make Alpha characters stereotypically immature, impulsive, and hot headed, walking around smashing things and talking like teenage boys. What an uninteresting, not to mention weird, angle for the book. Plenty of people can write omegaverse without being misogynistic or gimmicky. We’ll see I guess…

I wish I was the type of reader that could read Christmas books during Christmas.

I think I could become very obsessed with this book. Unfortunately, I’ll have no one to talk to about it for a while 🥲

Thought I’d jump on the hype train

I am EATING this book up!!! Why didn’t anyone force me to read this sooner! The elements in it may have been handcrafted for me in particular.

I’m really excited to dive deeper into this one! Already it reminds me of an Umbrella Academy dynamic if they had human talents instead of powers! I can tell that I’m going to enjoy it!

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I did not need this book to be dual POV.

Really interesting and unique setup. I’m slow getting in through it though, but that’s due to my personal life more so than the book. If I could have a month without being sick, I would jump for joy.

Potential to be good, but execution so far? Questionable. Rn it’s pulling a bland dystopian FMC who is dreadfully ugly (while being obviously attractive) trope. This girl has the audacity to have two different eye colors! The horror!

Back on my Loustat bullshit again, if you couldn't tell

Note to self: if you decide to buddy read this with someone else, maybe get a little refresher on just how traumatic this book is. You’ll think “oh I know it’s traumatic” and then you start reading and think “what have I subjected them to”. Still one of my favorite series, but I think I mentally blocked out a lot of this book…

I’ve started watching the Interview with the Vampire series, and I literally cannot do anything else rn. I’m completely entranced. My reading goal will just have to suffer for a while. I truly believe Sam Reid is possessed with the spirit of Lestat.

Is there truly anything more immersive than secondhand embarrassment?

Idk if you can tag this as a slow burn if the main pairing are doing BDSM stuff 50% in…?

This is panning out to be peak Romantasy. I’ve already cried once so I know it’s gonna be a good book.
