I already regret buying this book. To choose to write a character that speaks archaic English, when you don’t know how to incorporate archaic English is BOLD. I am pulled out EVERY SINGLE TIME HE SPEAKS!!! If I see one more incorrect usage of thou as an object, there’s going to be a crash out of epic proportions.

Oh my god I’m officially OBSESSED with this book. The turn of events I’ve just read have left me flabbergasted and incredibly giddy. I think it’ll definitely make the list for one of my top books of the year!

I gotta say, this is my first time reading about a woman starting a soap making empire. Also Reynald is giving major Rowan vibes and I love it.

I am not memorizing my favorite books nearly efficiently enough. I have no clue how to navigate to a notable brothel from any given location or how fantastical currency works. Kudos to you, Maggie.

What an absolutely brutal interview.

Some of the details in this book are wild. What do you mean that one of our primary antagonists carries a pet monkey? And what do you mean that the big bad living outside of the dome of protection are cowboys? What can possibly be next??

Oop it’s early to be crying

Forget anything kind I’ve said about The Odyssey because I’m personally ready to square up with Odysseus myself! Who said this man is a reluctant hero? Just straight up tricking people into war. Would it be so bad to be forgotten?!?!

Watched The Odyssey and finally found the bravery to start this book. Wholly ready to have my heart eviscerated..

Also, I get what Achilles is known for but even with that context we’re getting an awful lot of feet descriptions lol
