Main story finished and I have thoughts:
I really like Xue Meng’s character development and his ending as a whole. I love that he got closure for his shizun and shixiong and isn’t actually alone in the end. I also love that RanWan just get to live out the rest of their days in domestic bliss. I have mixed feelings about Taxian-jun’s part in it, though, but I have to remind myself that he redeemed himself.

So is Meatbun a fan of ending her stories with one or both of the main characters dying but then being reborn as a result of their heroism, and then having the couple run away together? Because that’s where I’m feeling this is headed

I’m tired of this, grandpa

I keep hoping that somehow Mo Ran and Chu Wanning will have another chance—that they’ll be able to stop Taxian-jun and Hua Binan, or undo what they’ve started. But maybe I should start considering coming to terms with the possibility that this isn’t that kind of story 🫩😭
