I'm only 35% into the first book of the series and I already want to call off work tomorrow. *Sigh*. I can already feel my productivity tomorrow going down the toilet!

I'm pausing this book at 30%. It is nothing like the first book in the series and I am having a hard time caring about either of the MC's. Maybe I'll come back to it.

Another "oopsie". After meeting Severin & Blake while they are getting ready to leave for Maine Nathan decides to do a "good deed" and leave the van for Lisa. Umm, it's stolen Nathan, remember? I hope he mentions that in the note!

At first I was pissed that we left Alex & Kaleb's asses swinging in a cliffhanger from Book two but I'm really getting into this and really like Nathan and Lucien.

A couple of things bugged me. In this book it only took Nathan a few ours to make the "oil" but from the first book we know it takes a month.

I'm calling a halt at 41%. I paused reading this book to do a couple of beta reads for authors and just can't seem to force myself to pick it up again. I liked the first book and even was liking this one but for some reason I'm just not in the "mood". I will finish. Just not right now.

Good grief this book is boring. Heading for a rare DNF.

I'm pausing this book until the weekend. It's getting good and this series is one where you should read uninterrupted. I want time to finish and go straight into the next book "Nolan".

Okay, laugh out loud moment:

6% into the book and I've laughed out loud four time so far. Awesome.

I have been saving this book like my favorite last piece of Easter candy. I have blocked tomorrow so I can read undisturbed. *rubs hands gleefully*

I downloaded to my Kindle and the format is screwed up. Looks like a pdf. ARe is trying to get an updated epub file from the publisher.

Noooooo! I have to stop reading and it's killing me! Pretty sure I'm going to wake up at 2:00am with the "need to read"!

I should not have started this book so late yesterday. My productivity at work so far has been crap! This series is great!! It's gonna kill me to wait for the rest!

I really like Jeff Erno's books but I'm nearly halfway through and haven't really found a character I like yet. Fingers crossed.

Well, there is a glossary of Yiddish, Spanish, and cop/military terms at the back of the book. Helpful if you are reading a paperback but ebook, not so much.

Author's. Please stop using foreign languages without telling us what it means. When I can use Kindle's "translate" feature it's merely irritating. In this case entire sentences in Yiddish is starting to piss me off.

I'm going to pause this book. Book one started out good but then ended poorly. It seems I've read several "downers" in a row so I think I'm going to push this to the weekend (while I decide if I even want to finish the series)

Re-reading for a challenge. I forgot how really great this book is. I can't wait to get caught up so I can read book 3 "The Unseen Tempest" for the 1st time.

Really enjoying this so far. So glad work is almost over and I can read full time instead of breaks and lunch!!

67% in (2 hours left) and it's finally starting to get interesting. Fingers crossed!
