i watched the movie and loved it with everything in me (romcoms are the only thing that make me happy) so I decided to give this a shot! the movie is already so different (surprise!) but hopefully I can love them separately…otherwise i’ll heartbroken for a long time 💗

for anybody who’s read all of lauren robert’s powerless series, is fearless worth reading?

I would really like to finish the series, but I only semi-enjoyed the first 2, and I really don’t want to read a shitty book after starting to find my love for reading again LMAO

I don’t think I realized how much I’ve missed reading until I forced myself to pick up this book 😭💗

I’m not liking this as much as the first

I feel like it’s so repetitive and, as much as I love the plot and the characters, the execution that was there for the plot the first time around, just isn’t here the second. the characters and anticipation of the ending is what is making me wanting to keep going

i really hope this ends up being a favorite of mine 🥺🥺🥺🥺 if it doesn’t i’ll be sad 🫩🫩🫩

i promised myself that this summer i would force myself out of the slump but it seems that slumps do whatever the they want 😔

I love reading because I find comfort in words. I love it because I feel smarter after I finish a book, even if it’s a rom-com. it has shifted my life so much and in so many different ways and I don’t know what my life would look like right now without books

this brings me to ask, why do YOU love reading? everyone has different reasons and I’d love to hear yours!

if you could have dinner with one fictional character, who would it be??

recently I’ve wanted to get out of my slump and keep reading so I’ve been doing at least one chapter before bed and ITS WORKING!! it’s been so sustainable and I really love getting to think about what I’ve read which is how my slump is slowly going away

if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what would it be?

my nutrition teacher is the type of person to say if you’re depressed just be happy

required reading for school is so much harder to get through, but I’m so excited to read this so hopefully I end up loving it!

finals are tomorrow and i just finished my notes 😋😋 almost done

knowing next year my reading goal is going to have to be like 5 books is hard. i’ve always read 50+ books so it feels like setting my goal lower is failing, but that is NOT true. reading is supposed to fun. whether your reading goal is 1 book or 100, and whether you hit it or not, doesn’t determine anything. set your goals as something feasible for YOU next year 💗🥹

would you ever say a book changed your life? like it made you see the world differently, or opened you up to something you love, or changed your view on something?

for me, I think the hunger games was such an eye opener, not only to the world of reading, but to how corrupt and cruel the world can be. it’s such an important book and it’s scary to see how the world is like it today
