Summary: My book is about a successful high school football coach who is on his death bed. He was very hard and strict but that is what made him a good coach. Some of his players liked him and some hated him. But when he is dying all the players reflect on their great seasons.

Supporting Characters: A supporting character in my book would be Jackie Jones. He is there for a distraction because he is lazy and complains and does not want to do the drills. The coach does not like him and he does not like the coach. He is not a bad player but he slows the rest of the team down.

Make up 3/18 Conflict The Conflict in my book is character vs character. I know this because there are a lot of arguments between players. The players get mad if you mess up the play because they do not want to get yelled at by the coach. There can also be conflict in games between the other teams who trash talk.

make up 4/8 Visualize The author in my book helps you visualize what is happening and makes you feel like you are there. For example, I can visualize how their practices are. The way the author describes how hard and exhausting they are helps me understand where the players are coming from and why they didn't like them.

Inciting Incident: I think the inciting incident in my book is when the coach is on his death bed. This is when all the players come together and reflect on their glory days. This is when the story begins and you start learning about the characters.

Connections: I can make connections between my book and real life. For example Coach Neely was a very strict coach who demanded a lot in his practices. Some of his players liked his style of coaching because they were a good team and some hated it. That's how a lot of good coaches are in real life who are strict and make better players.

Make up 3/25 Genre: The Genre of my book is sports. I know this because it talks about different quarterbacks and quarterback coaches from the 2010's. For example it says how Lane Kiffin was a backup QB for Fresno State then became a student assistant coach. Since then he has had many head coaching and assistant coaching jobs in sports.

3/11 Point of view: The point of view in my book is the first person narrator. The narrator is Donovan Dooney. Donovan Dooney is a quarterback coach who coaches high school, college and NFL players. I know it is him because he speaks from what he knows from training all the different players. The whole book is about him training talented quarterbacks.

The inciting incident in my book may be when Baker Mayfield got his first offer to Kansas. My book is about multiple quaterbacks but this offer mattered a lot to Baker. Every other quarterback at the Elite 11 football camp had major divison one offers. Baker ended up not going there but the offer helped him because after more schools started looking at him.

I think the plot in my book is overcoming the monster. I think this because there are many quarterbacks trying to beat each other for a college football job. I think in a way everyone is trying to overcome everyone and be the best.

A supporting character in my book who has an influence in Johnny Manziel's dad. He isn't a main character but has made some big decisions for Johnny. For example he helped johnny get recruited by sending film to college coaches. He eventually told Johnny to transfer to Texas A&M and told the media he would win the Heisman Trophy there. That is an impact a supporting character has made so far.

I visualize what is happening when I am reading my book. An example was when they were talking about when Baker Mayfield got accepted in the elite 11 flag football camp. Many good quarterbacks like Johnny Manziel the 2012 Heisman trophy winner got rejected from there. I visualized how excited he would be when he got that letter in the mail. This is an example of something I Have visualized when reading.

1/8 A connection I have made from my book to the world is to think about other people. In my book it talks about how Tupac cared about other people and gave out a lot of money. A connection would be to care about other people and give to the less fortunate.

Characterization: In my book Tupac is a selfless person. So far it talks about him giving turkeys out during thanksgiving. Another example is in the book it mentions when his mom needed surgery he paid for it. These are all good things he did when he didn't have to. This is why I think Tupac was a selfless person.

The antagonist in my book would be Coach Rake. many times in the book the protagonist Neely Crenshaw gets mad at him for his play calling and drills he does not like. Even though they are a great team and Neely is a great player he has threatened to quit several times.

Genre: My book's genre is realistic fiction. I know this because my book says it. There was also not a guy named Nely Crenshaw who was a quarterback in the NFL. But the story is realistic and could or could have happened with other people. I also think it could be a sports genre since it is based around sports.

There are some static and dynamic characters in my book. One of the dynamic characters in my book is Caleb Springer. He is the main character in my book. He changes how he feels about football when he finds out his dad has dementia from playing football. His friend Nina is static because she has never never changed her opinion on football being dangerous. These are some static and dynamic characters in my book.

I have had a couple of questions throughout my book. I have been wondering if Caleb would get brain damage like his dad. While reading my book it gives examples on how his dad can't remember stuff. His friend also tells him how football is dangerous and can affect his future. They are about to play in the state championship and Caleb says he is looking forward for the season to end. This is a big question I have.

Protagonist: The protagonist in my story is Caleb Springer. He is the star freshmen quarterback for his high school. Some of his teammates don't like him because he gets a lot of attention because his dad was in the NFL. One of his teammates says "who are you to talk to me like that." Caleb has to deal with his dad and teammates sweating him throughout the book.

Make up 10/9/23 There has been some conflict in my book. There was a fight between Caleb and some of his teammates. This was because they were jealous of the attention he got because his dad was in the NFL. They felt he didn't work hard for the attention he got. Even though he cannot help it they were still mad at him.

There have been multiple predictions I have made. One of them is I predicted when they almost lost the football game. Talking about their practices before the game it said they took a bad team lightly. I thought they would either barely win or lose. It was saying how the coach was getting mad because they were joking in practice. I thought they would barely win or lose because of that.

Make up 9/26 One of my book's known settings is Walthorne High School. I do not think that is a real high school because my book is realistic fiction. The time is somewhere in the 2000s because it says his dad retired from playing football in 2005.
