I'm sorry, but this is the dumbest third-act breakup I have ever read. It makes no sense from any perspective.

Man, there is NOTHING wrong with this book, but I'm bored with it :/ There is so much happening, but also nothing at all at once.

So glad the audiobook is out! This is a very slow-burn romance, which isn't always my go to for contemporary, so being able to listen will help me immerse back into the story.

These are probably the dumbest, most selfish characters I've read about in a long time. She expects everyone to listen to her but won't slow down to listen to him. He continues to keep things from her. They argue, then have sex in the kitchen. WHAT IS GOING ON

Okay, I fear that Poppy is just her ADHD diagnosis and nothing more. It feels like she has no depth and has barely grown through this whole book. I love when we get neurodivergent rep in books, but it feels like she was given no depth besides ADHD, being flighty, and deflecting blame. I feel like if they had used a sensitivity reader/beta group, this could have been avoided... Jack is no better...

Okay, I'm glad we're seeing a hint of romance between the two of them, but Jack's 180 flip on being attracted to her and viewing her sexually while actively distracting her from her ex moving on feels a touch icky given the context- "keeping tabs on her" for her dad to avoid public humiliation. Ugh

I am still really loving this, but watching Frances' slow decline lowkey is making me emotional!

Ah yes look at someone elses script and then comment on their diagnoses as if that is a normal and cool thing to do.

I hope this book continues to be the humbling of Poppy. You can't be late on day one and expect everything to be okay for you. ADHD isn't a hall pass to be a crap person to everyone around you all of the time- it's a reason, not an excuse.

Honestly... I am so glad he finally called her out. Took way too long for someone to point out how unfair she was being. I can't stand when insecure characters hide behind their insecurity to be overwhelmingly selfish. I really hope she starts to grow as a character because I am continuing to find Hannah unlikable.
