I still think her opinion on the rivalry is a bit immature and one sided, but other than that, book two has been miles better than book one! I love this pairing more and the narrators are doing fantastic! I love Corvin King now 🤭

I’m loving these narrators!!! And omg I never side w the mmc during arguments but so far everything Chloe has done to him has been sus so I think it’s fair he’s so skeptical of her!

Chloe has been so hot and cold this whole book towards Xander, I’m having a hard time connecting with her because of that. She’s always pointing out being older and mature but it feels like he’s being more patient and “mature” about it with her… ughhh

Really glad I switched to the audio for this! Just reading, I wasn't able to immerse myself since it's SO unserious. The narrators make it feel more like I'm watching/listening to an unhinged rom-com/sit-com. Don't pick this up if you're hoping for a trad romance/rom-com; it's def unhinged.

I'm sorry, but this is the dumbest third-act breakup I have ever read. It makes no sense from any perspective.

Man, there is NOTHING wrong with this book, but I'm bored with it :/ There is so much happening, but also nothing at all at once.

So glad the audiobook is out! This is a very slow-burn romance, which isn't always my go to for contemporary, so being able to listen will help me immerse back into the story.

Okay, I fear that Poppy is just her ADHD diagnosis and nothing more. It feels like she has no depth and has barely grown through this whole book. I love when we get neurodivergent rep in books, but it feels like she was given no depth besides ADHD, being flighty, and deflecting blame. I feel like if they had used a sensitivity reader/beta group, this could have been avoided... Jack is no better...

Okay, I'm glad we're seeing a hint of romance between the two of them, but Jack's 180 flip on being attracted to her and viewing her sexually while actively distracting her from her ex moving on feels a touch icky given the context- "keeping tabs on her" for her dad to avoid public humiliation. Ugh

I am still really loving this, but watching Frances' slow decline lowkey is making me emotional!

I hope this book continues to be the humbling of Poppy. You can't be late on day one and expect everything to be okay for you. ADHD isn't a hall pass to be a crap person to everyone around you all of the time- it's a reason, not an excuse.
