TaraJane Nichols is 50% done with The Eye of the World (The Wheel of Time, #1)
Listening to the audiobook which is going much better than trying to read through it for me personally. Getting more interesting as it goes on.

I have not loved this second installment in Howl’s series. It seems to be a retelling of Aladdin and while I enjoy it, what I wanted from this story was more Howl and Sophie. Nothing wrong with this book, just not meeting my expectations.

What is going on? Aladdin retelling? Where is Howl? I just have a lot of questions.

Still plugging through! Although the beginning has drug on for a bit, Jordan is an expert at sentence crafting and worldbuilding which keeps me interested even when the journey is going slowly.

TaraJane Nichols is on page 100 of 357 of Fable (The World of the Narrows, #1)
I’m enjoying the setting so far, but everything definitely feels a bit cliche and overdone from the extreme suffering Fable faces to the treacherous nature of Jeval where somehow she survives on her own as a child. I do love the revenge backstory and all the ocean descriptions. I am excited to get to know the characters more and to see how her story unfolds.

I did find two typos already so that threw me off.

TaraJane Nichols is starting A Winter's Promise (The Mirror Visitor, #1)
Not finishing this one. Extremely boring storyline, unlikable characters, slooooow pace. The world and setting is extremely novel but overshadowed by the caricature-like actions, appearances, and dialogues of the characters throughout.

TaraJane Nichols is 50% done with Most Important Place on Earth: What a Christian Home Looks Like and How to Build One
Halfway through, and while I don’t love his writing style because of the random stories and the overall tone, this book has challenged and changed the way I think about raising a Christian family. The advice is practical. The author offers and explains ways to cultivate Christian living based on his own and others experiences. The author doesn’t force his opinions on the reader but invites the reader to join.
