This book is super interesting! Just finished the first 100 pages and I’m having a great time. I love Dimitri 😂

Savine helped Orso escape, and Gorst finally laid down his life for his king. Farewell to one of the most badass characters I’ve met.

Adua has been reclaimed, more or less. The Young Lion led the charge into the Agriont thanks to Gorst and Vick for holding it down above the portcullis. Now to rescue Savine and Orso! The climax is here!

Holy shit, what an awesome couple chapters. I freaking LOVE the Little People chapters and the last one to end this part was phenomenal.

Black Calder fell, and died with honor, more or less. Before he was ironically killed by the man who saved his life twenty years prior, he uttered some foreshadowing words regarding the line of Bethod.

Leo Dan Brock and Sand Dan Glokta. Never thought I’d say they were similar.

Black Calder, back at it again with the treachery! Honestly, great character.

Rikke working with Bayaz, huh? Can’t show that could go wrong. I love Bayaz’s twisted but accurate wisdom.

Theory… Pike is working for Talins. Specifically Shenkt. Trying to tear down what Bayaz built.

First, the fact Curnsbick mentioned Lamb (Logen) was freaking awesome. Love that guy. But now Sulfur is threatening Savine’s children. Not good!

Leo’s rebellion is over. What a great story. Abercrombie has me hooked!

Well, looks like Leo and Orzo both went to King Jabba (or whatever his name is) to ask for help in the obviously upcoming civil war. Sounds like Jabba is going to side with Orso in that he is not going to help Leo.

ALSO, Leo’s gay heart throb just got caught boinking their other friend. Heart break is a bitch. Also Terez was re-united with Shelia, so that’s very sweet. Might be a send off for her?

Savine is in on the revolution that I totally called. Broad is being sent off to reconnect with his friends in the Breakers for some intrigue & insurrection!

Rikke has essentially killed two of her father’s men who tried to sway her to one side or the other. She is setting the standard.

Well I’m glad they had a good wedding night… 👀

Leo might be tricked into rebellion with The Great Wolf as an ally, and Rikke might have to cut out an eye… what a twist!

“A man is measured by his enemies. Worthy ones can be more missed than friends”. I love it. Bayaz may be a bastard, but damn it if he isn’t an awesome character.

Everyone in this book is freaking brutal 😅 Vick going around manipulating and beating the shit out of nobles and merchants. I feel bad for Tallow 😬

Damn… that was brutal. Looks like there’s a new king in the north. Again…

Suspicions arise of the nobility raising the peasants against the king… I wonder if that’s Glokta using that as an excuse to eliminate them.

Hands down one of my favorite lines in a book, ever.

The Young Lion and the Great Wolf, friends? That definitely won’t be something one of them will regret…

The battle in the circle between the Great Wolf and the Young Lion is about to begin! This story is freaking sweet. I love these characters.

Valbeck has fallen, and all hell has broken loose! I love Abercrombie’s cycling of POVs during major events. It’s so unique and really gives me a more rounded and clear picture of what is happening. Love it.

I find Broad’s character to be an interesting one. It’s easier for him to lash out than it is to have restraint. I can relate.

Really awkward that Savine is seemingly in love with Orso when they are technically siblings. Half, but still. That and the fact that they be bangin’.

Caul MFing Shivers! Confused though as to why he is now working with the Dogman… I freaking love this series.
