The title confuses me

Gonna hit the pause button on Chapter 53 because i just learned this is a duet and the next book isn’t due till a year from now so nope — I can’t be left on some cliff for a year — I’m not going to finish walking up that hill to said cliff. I’ll wait — but this book so far is good - I’m not saying great because I feel like it is a tad bit too reminiscent of various other books.

How is this highly rated ?!? The writing was choppy. The pace gave me whiplash and the drama was just over the top. The spice was nice but at the same time I’m like girl (fmc) he dropped like a bad habit and never sought you out and boom you see him years later and he wants so you just say ok and you spread them !?? Helll to the Nooooooooooha!

I think I appreciated the gut punches and that’s why I bumped it up a star, but the story itself was meh. Perhaps because I couldn’t really be drawn into this world of street racing and perhaps I’m over authors always describing the mmc as looking like Chris Hemsworth that I more bored than anything and the smexy scenes were too frequent, forced, and not romantic.

Ok, I’m basically bored with the mmc and the story is starting to feel cliche.

Ok, so I’m at the part where piece of the plot are getting puzzled out and I gotta say, the fmc is in the wrong. Her anger towards the mmc is misguided and confusing bc she knows why he wants what he wants so why make him suffer.
