Enjoying the book so far! Was recommended to me by a friend. Not sure if I agree with Eldridge’s theology but it is certainly interesting and inspiring.

Picked up this book from Pages and have been loving it. Todd Buchholz (the author) makes economics interesting. The Adam Smith chapter is the most fire. Who knew that he was a philosopher before being an economist?

Y’all I just fell out of my chair my goodness praise the Lord for John Piper’s wisdom

Why is it that everytime I read any number of pages in this book I learn so much and my soul feels so refreshed. Piper is actually a genius. He cooked when he said “love is the pursuit of one’s own pleasure in the joy of the beloved” 😮‍💨

The chapter on money is so relevant. Piper writes like a lawyer but without all the legalese. For the love of money is the root of all evil. No one can serve two masters; and the teaching on 1 Timothy 6:6-9. So good!
