wasn't sure how i felt about this one going into it. but wow. some of these more philosophical passages could've been taken straight from my Brain

oh. suddenly this is not a safe space.

at the gorgeous gorgeous halfway point where i'm finally feeling fully immersed in this world and its characters. and it is beautiful. it's always hard to move on after finishing an Elite 10/10 read, but it's nice to fall a bit in love with a book and its story all over again.

ohhh i love this one way more than i was expecting. why oh why did i leave this to sit there on my shelf rotting away for years (just like sam's foot)

i knew it was about video game developers. did Not expect all the complex themes about disability and friendship and grief. ough.

why the hell did i put off reading this for so long? this is fantastic. the characters feel so fleshed out and real and multidimensional. it is lovely so far.

reading this Right After finishing a little life. if i have to read about another lovely disabled man experiencing suffering and misfortune i am going to shit my own ass. fortunately i do not think this author has the same level of sadism to be so brutal to sam.

i did not finish dear comrade. dear comrade finished me. fuck. i could end it here and everything would stay okay. i can't. i shorn't read the last section right now. this fucking DESTROYED ME. the last 15 pages of this book don't exist.

oh what the hell. might even mark this as finished so i can squeeze it into my books read in 2025. idfc.

i made a vow to myself to finish this thing before the year ends and goddamnit i'm going to stay true to my word no matter how much this hurts me.

NOTHING IS HAPPENING. okay yeah as someone with major depression and apathy i can kind of sympathize and relate but for the most part this privileged white woman is INSUFFERABLE. i'm sorry but i do not get the hype for this one.

this is lush. it is beautiful, inside and out. intimately captures yearning, friendship, the repression of forbidden feelings. such a delight.

started this as a palate cleanser, something to keep my reading challenge alive because a little life is something to Savor, and also because it autumn.

it's nice. makes me appreciate the beauty and wonder in the ordinary, the mundane. more linear than i thought it'd be.

i don't know what the fuck i just read. still trying to process it. but somehow i got through reading about The Injury without crying. i just feel sick. this book is FANTASTIC.
