Somebody who obviously despises students has put this on the reading list for my current university module, and I am not exaggerating when I say it has genuinely bored me to tears. I have actually, literally, burst into tears several times upon reading page after page only to realise that what I have just read could easily have been put across in a couple of sentences.

I keep picking this up, putting it down for ages and then having to restart because I’ve forgotten everything that happened. Determined to finish though because everyone I’ve asked says this is a good book.

Much like the characters in this book, I am suffering for no discernible reason by continuing to read it. Hopefully it gets better.

I mean does it really have to be that long

Trying my absolute hardest to get into this. I’ve restarted it twice. I fear I have once again been drawn in by an interesting premise only to be let down by TJR’s English GCSE level writing. However I paid £11.99 for this so I will persist.

Might DNF lol it just seems to be an incredibly long winded account of loads of bad stuff happening. Had to take a break anyway because it was putting me in a bad mood. Whether I can bring myself to pick it up again remains to be seen.
