This book doesn’t know if it wants to be Adult or YA - kinda understandable given the trauma the FMC has endured but it’s giving whiplash to the readers

I’m going to struggle with this now - half way and Caelan is going to be in a coma for the rest of the book….so the miscommunication tropes have started and I can’t stand that trope :/

still enjoying this but i wish the author spent more time explaining why medieval people believed or did things rather then just mocking them, the humor is fun but sometimes its to much and a 21st C lens is applied rather then looking to understand the medieval lens

This is proper high fantasy with heart breaking romance - the set up of this world is excellent
