There is so much repetition. I feel like the reader is not being trusted to remember anything because there’s just so much internal monologue fluff in between plot points.

Reading it bc I’ve heard it’s bad and the expo dump in the first 5 pages is not doing it any favors.

It’s okay. I’m listening to it as an audiobook since the library had no physical copies and I’m just thrown off by the fact that it takes place in China and only a couple characters go by actual Chinese names.
