Isla wants to be a badass so bad but her lack of trust in Oro makes her look like a buffoon.

If all these realms have so many issues then why have the games gone on for 500 years?? Surely in this time at least one assassination attempt would’ve been successful.

There is so much repetition. I feel like the reader is not being trusted to remember anything because there’s just so much internal monologue fluff in between plot points.

Reading it bc I’ve heard it’s bad and the expo dump in the first 5 pages is not doing it any favors.
