Trying to not be in a slump whilst taking a break from the shatter me series and trying to find an MM romance book like Oleander… I’m not obsessed atm it’s meh but we will see.

AND THEN WARNER AND JULIETTE FINALLY TALK but no resolution. I’m so near the end and I feel like I just learned so much new things in this book that I fear so much is going to blow up in the next book…… also have no idea how it’s gonna end in this book

Aaron had an ex and were together for TWO YEARS and broke up 8 months ago and he never told Juliette? Jaw on the floor. But Aaron helping Nazeera’s brother shows how big his heart really is.

ALSO NAZEERA CAN FLY AND TURN INVISIBLE??? Her power being like Kenji’s while she hates him is so funny.

Tahareh ALWAYS DOES THIS. I literally thought this book was just steady but this whole 360 rn? I’m ready to eat.

Adam has annoyed me up until this point. Now, after that chapter with him and Warner, I want nothing but a strong bond between them and him to be happy.

Also, Kenji telling Juliette his backstory and what happened to him/his family. I literally teared up, he’s been through so much. He’s literally my favourite character ever like I love this man.

It’s a slower start rn, basically Juliette and her worries about leading the restablishment but Aaron and Warner are about to talk one on one and I’m excited to see (if) there’ll be any relationship built between them.

We are soooo back.

Things are slow rn but knowing Tahereh Mafi, it always picks up after the half way point so WE WILL SEE.

I’m always glad to be back into this world.

This is kinda…. Boring? I loved Every Summer After btw but this isn’t giving the same vibes. Going from a 5 star read to something bland like this? I doubt it’s gonna pick up but I’m willing to be proved wrong

I’m in such a book hangover after finishing Oleander because every one that I’ve seen talk about One Golden Summer LOVED the book but so far it’s just meh rn. I really did love Every Summer After but I am in the beginning so… but rn it’s not giving anything really. I need the summer vibes I felt with every summer after.

Wdym next is the epilogue and it says 8 years later??? 8 YEARS??? Bear in mind where I’ve just left off, it’s not even an inkling of a happy ending.

So near the end which means nearly getting the happy ending for my babies

I never want to leave Jude and Caspien’s world… no matter how TOXIC it is.

I love this book so much like I’m gonna be in the biggest slump after I finish this

I’ve not read a book so fast or had me feeling like this in so long. Absolute page turner I’m obsessed.
