We’re told he rescued Evie, who was damaged beyond love, just pulled four people from the water on a beach outing and a detective just referenced him as being a female detectives “biggest fan.”

I’m expecting a scene where everybody claps for this hero.

Why do I feel like Robotham is projecting?

He's referring to Evie trying to disguise herself due to past traumas. Shes trying to hide, not be attractive so why sexualise a vulnerable moment? Ugh, male authors 🙄

How do I say I like the way this author writes sexy scenes? I don't usually like smut - the language turns me off something cronic. But Emily Henry knows how to write for women 👍👍

I'm bored and want to DNF. I keep reading the same thing

I don't like it. The constant back and forth and arguing is making my insides so anxious. I don't like Ryan, and I don't like the girl telling the story. If it continues to make me feel unwell, I'll have to DNF

I feel really sad that it takes a curse for Henry to feel loved and “enough.” Everyone should already be enough as they are. It makes me wonder: is this a reflection of society — all the judgment and pressure we pile on people — or is it about the individual, struggling to feel confident in who they truly are?

So it’s confirmed, Henry’s curse is to be enough exactly as he is. He’s quite average (his looks, career, outlook), but the curse turns him into the person everyone wants and needs.

Whereas Addie is brilliant and rare, the kind who should be unforgettable, yet she can’t be remembered.

It feels like they’re living each other’s lives: Henry forgettable; Addie remembered.

Addie made a deal with the God that she will never belong to someone and is now unable to leave a memory, making her invisible.

I predict Henry made an opposite deal with the God and is now unable to go unnoticed. He can see her because he too sold his soul.

Predictions:
Although she cannot leave a memory on the world, she will be a muse/ inspiration for many artists work.

It will end with her giving her life to the god.

I like the premise of this book and where it is going. It is a big book so I was aprehensive at first, but I seem to be travelling well through it.

The writing is unlike anything I have read for a very long time and am finding myself having to re-read paragraphs 3 times over. The language is mature and advanced, quite poetic. I don't enjoy having to fight for an understanding.

Of all the books I've read, this one is the sickest so far. I went into it blind, as I always do. I wasn't expecting pedophilia and I won't be reading anything like it again.

I wasn't prepared for how dark and twisted this book would be.

Its a rollercoaster going from Sally in the present, where it is light and I find myself laughing as she finds her place. To Peter in the past, which is sick and twisted and makes me feel disturbed and itchy.

And the book has taken a very dark turn.

It's disturbing to read about the pure hatred some men feel towards women. The male ego needs to be studied. A man with a damaged ego is a dangerous man to all.

This book is making me laugh!
When she pretends to be deaf mid sentence because she doesnt want to talk to that person anymore. Hilarious!

Only 30 pages in but dare I say I am hooked. I love Liz Nugents writing style and I'm really enjoying the POV of a neuro divergent person. So new and matter of fact. It is dark and hilarous - in the most loving way.

I've had so many changing theories throughout this book (maybe thats what makes a good thriller)

But it was definitely the ex husband Tom. Him and Anna were cheating, she fell pregnant, and he killed her!

He's also been lying to Rachel about her blackouts so she can't trust herself. Typical narc behaviour.

New theory: Anna killed Megan to set Rachel up!!

My prediction

Rachel went to see Scott to tell him about the cheating, but found Megan instead and she killed her. Then she went to Toms house for help, was covered in blood and she freaked Anna out.

1. Everything Josie is telling Alix is completely made up to make herself seem more interesting.
2. Her grooming peodophile husband is doing things with the daughter.
3. Josie is going to kill her husband and daughter OR husband and Alix's husband

Okay I love Kristin Hannah but this book starting to pmo. This girl knows her dad is crazy, keeps being told by everyone around her to not do anything dumb, and the first chance she gets she brings this boy to her house and sleeps with him and falls asleep??? That would never happen in a real life dv household. I don't even want to continue reading rn

I have this feeling that her Dad or her love interest is going to end up dead

Hannah is highlighting dv in a very real way. The feeling of the enemy being in the house, of being trapped, isolated and alone. The feeling of love being mixed with rage and not knowing what to do with it. It's confronting to read.

I want to see where this white knight element goes... as that is not often the case in dv. People on the outside tend to mind their business.

I feel for this woman who loves her husband so much she has followed him to the edge of the Earth (Alaska). Doesn't that speak so loudly to womenkind and sacrifice one will make for love?

My inner child resonates with Leni and I know my heart will break as she learns how to love herself when no one else can. She's going to learn how alone truly feels and how perseverance and a dream can keep you alive ❤️

We've had the big reveal and now it's just draaaaging. I feel like I've just read the same chapter over and over. Get to it!!!!
