I feel really sad that it takes a curse for Henry to feel loved and “enough.” Everyone should already be enough as they are. It makes me wonder: is this a reflection of society — all the judgment and pressure we pile on people — or is it about the individual, struggling to feel confident in who they truly are?

So it’s confirmed, Henry’s curse is to be enough exactly as he is. He’s quite average (his looks, career, outlook), but the curse turns him into the person everyone wants and needs.

Whereas Addie is brilliant and rare, the kind who should be unforgettable, yet she can’t be remembered.

It feels like they’re living each other’s lives: Henry forgettable; Addie remembered.

Predictions:
Although she cannot leave a memory on the world, she will be a muse/ inspiration for many artists work.

It will end with her giving her life to the god.

I like the premise of this book and where it is going. It is a big book so I was aprehensive at first, but I seem to be travelling well through it.

The writing is unlike anything I have read for a very long time and am finding myself having to re-read paragraphs 3 times over. The language is mature and advanced, quite poetic. I don't enjoy having to fight for an understanding.
