I love that this book starts with a recap chapter of the 1st book, because so much happened!! Also, this has a glossary of terms, I love it when fantasy authors include one!

Rereading before the 3rd release, not that I actually have the time but…

Pax’s resistance to any kind of change or willingness to care is its own delicious tension, it’s going to be SOOO good once he finally accepts change and allows himself to stop fighting everything and openly care! ❤️

Did I skip book 2 and go straight to Pax’s story… yes. Will I return to book 2? Yes, book 1 told me how it ended and I’m not a fan of repeating scenes in books…
